The key to success at C.T. Taylor is our trained, experienced workforce. Keeping them safe on the job is a core value for our company.
At C.T. Taylor Company we have made a commitment to providing the safest worksites possible. We have a full time safety coordinator with ten years experience monitoring safety on all our projects.
All of our superintendents have completed the OSHA 30 hour safety course, Certified CPR & First Aid Training, and ABCO Fire Protection Training. As part of our new employee orientation, each employee receives 3 hours of safety training before reporting for any work assignment. In addition they are all required to complete the 10 hour OSHA training course with in 60 days of initial employment.
Safety classes are scheduled on a regular basis. Excavators attend classes on pipeline emergency response, damage prevention and BWC Trenching Safety. Ironworkers are trained in fall protection and rigging signaling safety.
Toolbox safety talks are held with all crews on a weekly basis to review and eliminate site-specific safety hazards.
We realize that a construction accident can affect any of the contractors on a jobsite. Therefore, all of C.T. Taylor’s subcontractors are required to meet the same stringent safety requirements as we do.
C.T. Taylor regularly participates in voluntary OSHA on site inspections, completing six inspections in each of the last two years. Information gained from these inspections is passed on to all employees and subcontractors to provide the safest work site possible.
C.T. Taylor has also participated in the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation Drug Free Workplace program since 2002.
At C.T. Taylor we realize that quality and production depend on a safe worksite.
