Dalton PK-8 School

The most recent LEED Silver Certified project that C. T. Taylor (@C_T_Taylor_Co) was involved with is the Dalton PK-8 school in Dalton, Ohio.  Built under the OFCC program for school construction, this project utilized many environmentally friendly products, products utilizing recycled materials and produced within 500 miles of the project, enhanced water and energy efficiency, controllability of the lighting and thermal comfort within the building and combining the school as a teaching tool while employing the joint use of the facility.

This school is a shining example of sustainable construction and a needed addition to the Dalton Local School District.  Construction began in 2012 for the approximate 84,000 square foot building that will house approximately 650 students in grades PK to 8.
